The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. However, judging purely by what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company remains determined to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Upcoming Headline Games
Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they were due initially — rendering them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
