Indianapolis Colts Take On Atlanta Falcons in German Capital – NFL Week 10

Hello, fussball enthusiasts. Wie gehts? Everything good I hope on this fine morning kickoff to week 10 coming directly from Deutschland. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be exact where at 8.30am CST/9.30am EST and 2.30pm GMT the powerful Colts (seven wins and two losses) take on the Falcons (3-5). The fifth game played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pre-match Key Moments

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from Katarina Witt on the coin toss. A minor slip from Sky Sports there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the commentator with an accidentally live microphone.

So, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have chosen to get the ball first. Daniel Jones and company will be setting up shortly. Will the QB bounce back after a difficult performance in their last game?

Not to be outdone the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the largest shoulder pads you are ever likely to see. The fashion picks are impressive today. We are almost underway after a choir performance for the national anthem of Germany. Classy.

Opening Period Gameplay

Scoreless at 13:30 in the first

And we're off! And we have early drama after the Colts running back catches a screen pass, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then loses the ball … only for his offensive lineman to save his bacon with the ball retrieval. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the drama keeps coming as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The gamble fails to pay off as Josh Downs fails to catch a fastball from the quarterback. On the play before the turnover on downs Jessie Bates put a huge hit on tight end Mo Alie-Cox. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they attempt to end their string of three losses. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Score Recap

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Did Kyle Pitts just drop a touchdown? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That play rather sums up the high draft pick's professional journey to date.

A disappointing start but it only gets worse for the Falcons as they turn over possession to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard line. The Falcons quarterback is sacked and can’t keep hold of the ball.

An agile 22-yard rush from Ashton Dulin sets the running back up to easily run for a touchdown on the next snap. Kicker Michael Badgley misses the point after attempt. Mistake.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

Penix Jr puts the fumble behind him by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a touchdown. Drake London makes some chunky receptions to put them in the red zone then the seas part for Tyler Allgeier to saunter on to the goal line through the heart of the field for 13 yards. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. Advantage Atlanta.

Additional Week 10 Matchups

Additionally, the full slate starting at 1 PM EST and 6 PM GMT (with home teams first) is as follows:

  • (5-4) Panthers v New Orleans Saints (1-8)

  • (5-3) Chicago Bears v New York Giants (2-7)

  • (3-5) Houston Texans v Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)

  • (4-4) Vikings v Baltimore Ravens (3-5)

  • (1-7) Jets v Cleveland Browns (2-6)

  • (6-2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Patriots (7-2)

An exciting lineup. I’m planting my flag on Minnesota and Baltimore playing out the top contest of the day.
